We are currently seeking a skilled Desktop Support Technician.
This position includes the support, configuration and management of our client's desktop and laptop computers, mobile devices and associated user applications.
It involves the response and resolution of end user and hardware/software issues, and the ongoing management of the client's IT infrastructure.
This individual will work with an industry leading incident management system and will also maintain proper documentation of IT assets and provide status reports where required.
This successful candidate will possess both the technical and team skills to facilitate the fulfillment of the business and operational goals of Elect Technology and their client(s).
The position is based in the Greencastle, PA area and comes with a standard benefits package.
Responsibilities:
Setup, configure and support all desktop hardware and operating systems as well as the associated business applications.
Provide endpoint security support including patch management, anti-virus/anti-malware management, and local machine controls.
Be familiar with all Windows desktop operating systems Support of Microsoft Office, Office 365 and related office productivity applications.
Troubleshoot hardware and software functionality issues and provide recommendations for short and long-term resolutions.
Have a solid understanding of networking and server management Build positive relationships with internal and client points of contact.
Work cohesively as part of a valued team to accomplish technical and business objectives, when appropriate serving as a liaison with network administrators, systems analysts, website developers, and software engineers to facilitate required resolutions to IT systems and user issues.
Requirements:
Extremely strong customer service and relationship skills 1-2 years of support experience with Microsoft desktop operating systems (Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, Windows 11) 1-2 years of user support experience with Microsoft Office and Office 365 applications.
1-2 years of experience with desktop applications including but not limited to business anti-virus applications, backup and recovery tools, and PC management tools.
Solid understanding and experience with Windows Active Directory and associated features/functionality.
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities Strong written and oral communication skills Preferred:
Adept at IT troubleshooting and diagnostics.
Ability to quickly learn new technologies and processes.
Experience with Microsoft desktop operating systems.
Able to complete all standard computer hardware repairs.
Experience with mobile device support.
Experienced on helpdesk and incident management/ticketing processes.
Preferred Education and Experience are as follows:
An associate's degree in Information Systems and/or two (2) years of Information Technology support experience in a business environment.
Microsoft MCSA certification CompTia A
certification or similar certification.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
