This position will be shared for both the front reception area and in the back with doctors and other assistants and certified veterinary technicians.
We are looking for someone who is dependable, can multitask and be flexible with job duties, that include a 6 line phone system, handle check in and check out of clients when running multiple doctor appointments in the afternoon.
We run at a fast pace and need the individual to be able to keep up and pay attention to detail, while maintaining a professional demeanor.
We are an animal hospital, we are open in inclement weather and some holidays.
Flexibility with holiday and Saturday shifts until early afternoon is REQUIRED! Job Duties will include but are not limited to:
Greet all clients coming into the practice in a friendly manner Answering incoming calls Calling to confirm upcoming appointments and surgeries Schedule appointments Check clients and their pets in and out of Cornerstone software program Invoice clients for services provided Help to keep good husbandry in the entire hospital Assist veterinarians in exam rooms with restraint Comfortably discuss vaccines with clients and draw up into syringes for the doctors Clean Exam rooms and surgical areas as needed Efficiently run appointments with doctors, and maintain schedule as close as possible Job requirements:
Flexibility with morning, afternoon and evening shifts with a rotating Saturday morning shift Dependability and punctual Previous experience in a veterinary/animal field setting preferred Proven customer service experience, in-person and on phone Attention to detail and organizational skills Comfortable with handling all customer personality types Ability to feel comfortable around ALL breeds of cats and dogs Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time Ability to potentially lift 30 - 40 lbs Ability to bend, squat and step over items Ability to safely restrain cats and dogs General knowledge of vaccinations and parasite preventatives Pay is based on your experience and skills.
